Traveller Family Support Project Playgroup

Playgroup

Every Tuesday at the Family resource Centre we have a playgroup for the children who are under 4 years of age from the traveller community living in North West Clare. The playgroup runs from 11.30 am to 1pm and it is a time for the children to play, do activities together, sing nursery rhymes and play with the parachute.

This is the children’s favourite part of the playgroup! Mams, grannies and other family members love to come and have a cup of tea and a chat while the children play.

Fiona from Traveller Health, Public Health Nurse often comes for a chat and talk to the Mams around nutrition, weaning or any health concerns for the children.

This playgroup brings parents and families together from the community to learn and develop through play time and social interactions.
